Stalemate
October 20th, 2008 9:01 AM

My latest observation after talkign to many agents in the Jackson area is there appears to be a stalemate in the local real estate market, as sellers are holding on to expectations of prices from the peak of the market, and buyers are demanding value! As inventory increases, the likelihood of buyers finding a "good deal" increases. Sellers: dont miss the boat if you must sell. Buyers: keep looking for the right deal.

Market correction?
October 6th, 2008 4:34 PM

Lower sales volume and higher inventory volume are pretty much ocurring nationally as well as locally. This is most evident in the commuter markets, with signs ocurring in the Jackson market.

If your a buyer, and have cash or financing lined up, there are opportunities! If your a seller and need to sell, you must price right now!

The stock market and world financial markets are unsettleed at best. This is affecting the local real estate market to a degree. How much? Thats the million dollar question.

As always, dont forget the fundamentals! Location, location, location!

Despite a fuzzy stock market, if your weathering the storm in Jackson Hole, things are not all too bad!
